About Pole Dancing and Fitness

 

 

 


Pole dancing and fitness is a great way to get in shape and look great. Pole dancing requires not only physical skill and technical ability, but poise, grace and elegance. It is a fantastic way to improve your confidence and also increase your strength, coordination, flexibility and posture. Pole fitness gives you a complete body work out whilst you have fun learning. All women of any shape and size are welcome!

 

The instructor is fully trained in sports and fitness and has developed the course with you in mind to provide you with a great work out. All pole dancing and fitness lessons are an hour long and will commence with a warm up. You will then learn and perfect pole moves and finish with a cool down .

 

Minimum age 16.

 

There are four poles in the studio, therefore classes are limited to approximately 12 people. 

    

Beginners Course

 

These lessons are tailored for absolute beginners. You will learn the basic moves and will start to tone your body over the 6 week course.

 

Intermediate Course

 

These lessons are tailored for those wanting to move on from the beginners to learn more complex moves.  Your body tone and muscle will continue to improve and you will be introduced to inverts.   You must have been assessed and approved by the instructor to move up to intermediate level.

 

Advanced Course

 

These lessons are for Advanced level only.  For the majority of the class you will be performing inverts and routines and must also be assessed by the instructor in order to join these classes.  

 

What to wear:

 

For pole dancing and fitness classes you will need to wear comfortable work-out clothes, shorts, t-shirts or tracksuits. Most importantly clothes should be of stretchy materials to allow full movement. Bare legs will facilitate skin grip when progressing onto more difficult moves which is essential. Trainers can be worn for the warm up, however classes are performed in bare feet. High heels are not permitted in the studio. All jewellery, watches and accessories must be removed and please avoid using any hand or body lotions immediately before the class.
