FAQ'S

Polesportz FAQ's

Q) What shall I wear?

A) Any comfortable gym clothes are best.  Wearing shorts will help you with moves on the pole, because you will be able to grip much better with bare legs.  Most people wear shorts and T shirt or a vest.

Q) What footwear shall i wear?

A) We usually do the warm up in trainers, and then we do the lessons in bare feet.

Q) Where are the classes?

A) Unit 10b, Binghams Park Farm, Potten End Hill, Hemel Hempstead, Herts, HP1 3BN

Q) How long do the classes last?

A) The classes are on for 1 hour each, and run for 6 weeks at a time.

Q) How much are the courses?

A) The course is £75 per person, payable in advance of the course.

Q) Can I pay for the lesson each week?

A) No, we only take payment in advance for the courses.

Q) How many poles do you have in the studio?

A) We have 4 poles.

Q) How many people are there in a class?

A) We try to keep it to 12 people per class - there may be certain times when we may have to go over 12 people, but this is not often.

Q) How long will I get on the pole in my hours lesson?

A) When our coach teaches the pole moves each girl takes it in turn to learn & then practice the move until it improves. The classes work well in this way to allow everyone to have an equal amount of time spent on the pole by constantly rotating. You must also remember that pole dancing can be 'extremely' strenuous, especially in the early learning stages. Therefore by having two other girls on the pole allows you a rest period in between learning the moves which most people are grateful for. Even with this rest period most girls find themselves very achey in the first few weeks, which eventually goes after they have built up a bit more strength. Even when the coach teaches one-to-one's she never recommends over one hour due to the intensity of the exercise

Q) Is there any progression within the courses?

A) Yes, we generally advise that you do 2 beginners courses, and then move onto the Intermediate level.  When the instructor feels you are ready, she will advise that you move up.

Q) If I miss a class, can I take it another time?

A) As our courses are set 6 week classes, we cannot offer this.  You will be able to catch up the following week though.
