Polesportz FAQ's

Q) What footwear shall I wear?
A) Trainers can be kept on for the warm up but the lessons are done in socks or bare feet.
Q) Where are the classes?
A) At the studio in Binghams Park Farm, Potten End Hill, Hemel Hempstead, Herts, HP1 3BN.
Q) How long do the classes last?

Q) How much are the courses?
A) 6 week courses are £75 per person, payable in advance of the course.
Q) Can I pay for the lesson each week for the course classes?
A) No, payment is only accepted in advance. This price is a set amount for the 6 week course.
Q) How many poles do you have in the studio?
A) There are 4 poles in the studio.
Q) How many people are there in a class?
A) There is usually a maximum of 12 people per class, however there may be certain times there are more, but this is not often.
Q) How long will I get on the pole in my hours lesson?
A) The instructor teaches the pole moves so that each person takes it in turn to learn & then practice the move until it improves. The classes work well in this way to allow everyone to have an equal amount of time spent on the pole by constantly rotating. You must also remember that pole dancing can be 'extremely' strenuous, especially in the early learning stages. Therefore by having two other people sharing the pole it allows you a rest period in between learning the moves, which most people are grateful for. Even with this rest period it is common to be a little achy in the first few weeks, which eventually goes after strength has improved. Even when the instructor teaches one-to-one's she never recommends over one hour due to the intensity of the exercise.
Q) Is there any progression within the courses?
A) Yes, sometimes the instructor will advise that you repeat the beginners courses, and then move onto the Intermediate level. When the instructor feels you are ready, she will advise that you move up.
Q) If I miss a class, can I take it another time?
A) As the lessons are set 6 week courses, this cannot be accommodated. You should be able to catch up the following week though.
Q) Do you offer One to Ones or private lessons for a few people?
A) Yes, please email Polesportz for more details.
Q) I'd like to organise a pole class for me and my friends only - do you accommodate this?
